    San Francisco Giants (43-27) @ Chicago White Sox (33-37) | 6/17 & 6/18

San Francisco Giants (43-27) @ Chicago White Sox (33-37)

Chicago, IL @ U.S. Cellular Field

Tuesday June 17th @ 7:10pm CT on CSN
Matt Cain (1-4 3.84 ERA) vs. John Danks (5-5 4.17 ERA)

Cain's two starts since his return from the disabled list have netted mixed results. He dominated against the Mets but exited after five innings against the Nationals. Cain has never pitched at U.S. Cellular Field.

Over Danks' last four starts, he has allowed five earned runs on 19 hits over 29 1/3 innings. Danks has struck out 17 during that time, but the most important numbers for his success are just six walks issued and just one homer given up.

Wednesday June 18th @ 1:10pm CT on WGN
Tim Hudson (7-2 1.81 ERA) vs. Chris Sale (5-1 1.97 ERA)

Hudson slashed his ERA to 1.81, the Majors' lowest, in his last start. The 38-year-old has allowed more than two earned runs twice in 12 starts this season. The sinker-balling Hudson's sink will come in handy at U.S. Cellular Field, a hitters' park.

Against Detroit, Sale allowed five hits over seven innings, with one run coming on Victor Martinez's HR, while striking out 10 and not issuing a walk. Sale has struck out 68 and walked just five this season and has a 1.83 ERA at home in seven starts.

Cain is not the dominate pitcher that he was in the giants two WS wins season. We have a chance vs him with hot Danks. And Sale can match up vs any team ace.

We have a shot to take these two.

Nice! A BB for a run with the bases loaded and now two score on a error.

    5-2 Sox,

I was at the game yesterday in the bullpen sports bar and did not expect to win with Danks pitching. Danks has looked good for the last few starts I am really surprised. I wish today's game was a night so I can watch this excellent pitching match up.

It might start late if it is raining down there.

Flowers looks to be breaking out of his slump. 4-0 Sox should be enough for Sale but he has a high pitch count so far. The Giants hitters are working the count against him.
