Question Would Gasol make the Spurs a better team next year?

We all know the Spurs just won the championship and what scary is they have the cap space to sign a good veteran or two.

Assuming they sign Pau Gasol this off season, would the Spurs be the best team for the 2015 season and the clear cut team to beat?

Why I ask? The Spurs' offense is centered on ball movement and high IQ players who can make a play for himself and set others up for easy buckets. The Spurs can certainly use a guy like Pau. A great passer and a terrific post player. He may not be as good as he once was but with Pop as his coach and no more Kobe on his side, would Pau showcase his true skill (like what Boris Diaw did) with the Spurs in their system and help them win their first back to back titles?

    Your thoughts?

He would make them unstoppable. Timmy and Gasol together?! Lebron would leave Miami and turn into a monk!

I would honestly love to see him go to OKC or SAS. Do it Gasol!

    OKC? With what cap space?

Durant/Westbrook and Ibaka are max players, or at least soon to be, and Perkins makes 9 mill a year and they are not amnestying him.

Could be great with SA. But first, they need to resign Mills & Diaw. Then they have to convince Gasol to take a small contract(probably a vet min,but I don't think he would accept it). Unless Spurs break CBA's limits and bring him in for a 2 years 16-18 million contract. Then, they should be unstoppable.

The Spurs are the only team he should be considering. He would flourish in their system and is the exact type of personality that the Spurs organization looks for.

If Duncan leaves he could easily fill that slot. If TD stays they have another front line piece that surely makes them poised to repeat.

Gasol still has a lot in the tank and he could easily play another 3-4 years at a high level in the Pop system.

    deppends.

If he is ADDED to current roster, definelty yep, tim makes up for his defense.

if he REPLACES DUNCAN then NO, they would still have a chance to win, but they would downgrade because of the defense.

If he replaces DIaw, fair game, it could work or maybe not.
