I predict every single game gets rained out.

Tigers are 2 games into a 15 game winning streak.

Gotta love these pitching matchups though. Some great ones in this series.

I really hope Sucklander can pitch well today. He was fine the other game until his last inning. I don't expect him to be the 8 IP, 10K, 1BB, 3 Hit guy...but I do expect him to be a good pitcher. He needs to step his game.

Bill Butler's bad base running gets Derplander out of a jam! Thank you Billy for once actually helping Derplander out lol.

Just out of curiosity how many times this year has Derplander or any other Tigers pitcher for that matter hit a batter with an 0-2 count? It seems to have been way too frequent this season compared to the previous ones.

That's a good question... I can come up with at least 3 just off the top of my head.

I never like to see someone get hurt but to be completely honest I'm not that worried/concerned if Torii is done for the game or goes on a 15-day DL stint.

He's a better bat than Martinez... But they're about equal defensively right now.

So yeah its probably close to a wash.

    Here's a pretty cool stat:

Miggy through first 65 games during Triple Crown year: .314/.370/.542, 14 HR
Miggy through first 65 games of this season :.324/.373/.557, 12 HR.

Yeah that's what I was figuring. You lose some of the bat but the defense is still crappy. Really its a small downgrade with a bit more power. Dirks is expected to return soon so that should hopefully also help clear some of this OF mess.

Derplander ready to give the lead way?
