    Scouting Report:
Rockies: De La Rosa fought through rain in his last start, allowing five runs on 5 1/3 innings against the Dodgers. De La Rosa struck out eight but all four of the walks he issued would come around to score. He has lost two straight.

Giants: Lincecum's WHIP (average walks and hits per inning) has climbed to 1.542, which would be a career worst if he finished with a figure that high. But the Giants are 9-4 in his starts.

    Game 2: Saturday, June 14th @ 1:05 PM

    VS.
    Christian Bergman......Ryan Vogelsong

                                2 BB's 25

    Scouting Report:
Rockies: Bergman displayed the poise of a veteran in his Major League debut on Monday, scattering five hits and striking out four in six innings. He also recorded one of the Rockies' four hits.

Giants: Vogelsong matched a career high he'd prefer to ignore last Monday against Washington, yielding six extra-base hits. His ratio of 7.9 strikeouts per nine innings is his best for any season except for 2000, when he made four relief appearances.

    Game 3: Sunday, June 15th @ 1:05 PM

    VS.
    Juan Nicasio..........Madison Bumgarner
    Code:
                                Nicasio Bumgarner
                                13 Starts 14
                                5 Wins 8
                                5 Losses 4
                                5.70 ERA 2.67
                                1.51 WHIP 1.17
                                71.0 IP 87.2
                                44 K's 95
                                22 BB's 19

    Scouting Report:
Rockies: Nicasio was rattled after Justin Upton's comebacker just missed his head in the first inning of Tuesday's 13-10 loss to Atlanta. He ended that frame with seven runs, finishing with 10 earned runs off three homers, both career highs, in 3 2/3 innings.

Giants: Bumgarner appears on his way to his best season. His ERA so far is a career low, and he has accumulated nearly five times as many strikeouts (9.8 per nine innings) as walks (2.0). He has three double-digit strikeout performances in 14 starts.

Should take 2/3 with Vogey bouncing back and the usual Bumgarner effort.

Another year where the Rockies really suck on the road. A series loss would be more disappointing than the 1-3 series against the Nats. We have a decent chance for a winning week after losing Monday through Wednesday.

I feel a sweep coming on but 2/3 will do nicely. Bummie's start against the Nats was winnable which would have made it a split. Looking forward to playing them again. And of course, just keep winning.

Game one is the only game I'm worried about. Rockies have a good offense, we just need to get to that pitching early.

Would you trust a blind scout? Of course you wouldn't but that's what you do when you simply go by stats

Not on the road though. They're just average at best.

It's a powerful lineup regardless of where they play. Thankfully they are not at full strength.

Tim Lincecum makes average lineups look great.

No Arenado, Cargo, Cuddyer, but they still have Blackmon, Dickerson, Lemehieu, Morneau, Rosario, and of course Tulowitzki.

Roario and Blackmon have been garbage on the road. LeMaheiu isn't that good of a hitter. And thank God Tulo is human away from his superhuman self at Coors, though is still very good. I don't think it's as bad as you guys are making it out to be. On the road they've scored the 24th least in baseball (121).

Runs scored on the road is a garbage stat because not all teams have played the same amount of road games. Colorado has only 14 less HR on the road than at home but have played 48 less games on the road than at home. It's the same for all power numbers and that's a wide gap in games but thankfully the other percentages are down. This team, when healthy, is powerful no matter the stadium but we don't have to worry as much since they aren't 100%. Saying the Rockies have power is not making things out to be worse than they are. You're point about them not being as good on the road is well taken

It's not a garbage stat. It's only a handful of games that separates the team with the most road games and the team with the least. We're not talking a huge discrepancy here. The Rockies are right in the middle of that pack. They're way down the list, averaging 3.6 runs/game. They're ISO drops .49 points, SLG .138, and OPS .226 points away from Coors. My point still remains that the Rockies' offense is not as daunting away Coors where multiple of their players hit like All-Stars and much less scary.
