What an arm. I'm glad the cubs got a 2nd place trophy instead of signing him.

I don't know if this was better than Puigs catch, but It's definitely high up there.

    Good throw

Wish we had MLBAM player tracking data to see how good of a throw it was.

Was it better than this one

Love watching this guy make these throws.

I think that is eight this season, most in the show!

I'll step up and say it's a better throw just because he nailed a guy at home with what would have been the go ahead run in the 8th inning.

Jacksons throw was nice, Ichiro was not really that deep.......the last one was a doozie for sure but an out at third not at home.....so less excitement points

Nice throw, not the best play ever. Not even the best play this year.

I can't buy into the "most amazing play you will ever see". That's a tad bit hyperbolic. If anything, him botching a routine play at the outset takes a few points away.

The Guillen one filihok posted definitely trumps this. Yeah, it was to third, but the play was still more impressive. Ichiro's was from less distance (I think), but it looked to by flying MUCH MUCH faster. That was a fastball he threw to third. Vlad's seemed to travel quite a bit faster as well. This throw had a little more air under it. Splitting hairs, I know. But when you throw "most amazing play you will ever see" out there, you kinda have to.

Amazing. For sure. But there have certainly been better.

I'm on the same page as Manram. You screw up the routine play then panic and air mail it to home plate. Not only would the runners have been stopped on the bases had he fielded the ball cleanly but his air mail throw lets the runners advance a base.

I'm not going to endorse any play which TWO mistakes were made - no matter how athletic a catch or great of a throw.

The reason it was a great throw? He didn't even attempt to hit his cutoff man.
