Texans Offensive Lineman Diagnosed With Cancer

    David Quessenberry - T - Texans

Texans placed G/T David Quessenbarry on the reserve/non-football illness list.

The team announced the second-year lineman has been diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer where the white blood cells divide faster than normal cells or live longer than they are supposed to. Quessenberry had been battling fatigue and a cough for the past week. He thought he merely had a chest cold but underwent tests before the jarring news was revealed. Quessenberry is being treated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. We wish the 23-year-old a full and speedy recovery.

Terrible, terrible news. Best of luck to him with his recovery and hopefully we can see him back in the NFL someday.

What's sad is his name is spelled wrong there.

    Good luck kid.

Same form of cancer Mario Lemieux had. He beat it and came back to have some pretty damn god years. Good luck to the guy.
    ***DID YOU KNOW?***
In exchange for Barry Sanders, Ndamukong Suh & Calvin Johnson, the Detroit Lions received.......one comp pick.

Will they lose Stafford the Same Old Lions way too?

Probably alot easier for a hockey player to regain form than a offensive lineman.

You have a shorter career in the NFL already as it is in comparison to the other leagues.

Depends in the player. I mean take bruce matthews, larry allen, will shields, brad meester. Offensive linemen tend to have the longest careers outside of kicker and punter.

That sucks. Wish the best for him. Maybe he can find a good buddy to help guide him through. Like Herzlich.
