Most of this will be proposed trades that will never happen and favour the Yankees. Wait until a bit later when more news starts to surface and we can add some rumors to the fantasy trades.

    Masahiro Tanaka

    11-1| 99.2 IP| 10.20 K/9| 1.44 BB/9| 0.90 HR/9| 1.99 ERA| 2.70 FIP| 2.32 xFIP| 2.9 fWAR

Joel Sherman wrote an article about potential bats being available and one was CarGo. Not sure if they can pull off a deal but it's something they have to talk about. That swing is perfect for Yankee Stadium. Probably more likely to happen in the winter. Not having a great year so far and is injured so perhaps his value is a little more down compared to where it would have been last year. Id say he's more likely to be traded than Tulo.

I think we need to load on young SP depth. If anything strengthen the depth there and build around Tanaka starts. Then trade depth pieces for offensive bats in the winter.

I think Cashman needs to be fired before any of this happens. The head must be cut off.

Cashman isn't going to be fired. If anything he will be put in a senior management position and Eppler will take over.

Ask the front office. I don't know. Cashman contact is up at the end of this year, the steinbrenners love him. He won't be fired because one, his contract is up. Two he like most GMs when change is going to happen are transitioned into senior management positions. Out of respect.

I honestly would fire him and beg Jeter to become a future adviser. Hell there are plenty of ex. players that can do Cashman's job, just find one and have Eppler or some numbers guy teach him the ropes of the analytics and contracts part of the game.

How nice would that be? Someone who is great and young as opposed to someone who is old and used to be great.

    Works for me!
'Real' Yankee fans tell the truth about the team whether it is nice or not.

At the trade deadline, we should trade Beltran, Ellsbury, Johnson, McCann, Thornton and Aceves for a "General Managing for Dummies" book and trade Soriano and Ichiro for an AARP Discount Card.
