    Maybe the manager didnt want the burden if he did get 3ks say that's 12 pitches minimum. At 112 does he send him back out there? And if he injured his arm in the 9th there goes any chance the mariners had.

    I am fine with it because earlier in the season McClendon was letting him go over 100 pitches don't want to overwork him.

    Still an amazing performance though. 21 outs 15 k's. That's straight mean.

    I think he was just going up a bit because it's pretty rare to see a 9 pitch inning with 3 k's. Just an estimation for the best possible scenario.
