Overall a really nice draft. Hopefully a lot of these HS kids sign.

In a few posts Dugmet will tell you that it's too early to judge a draft.

But I agree. Solid draft. It will be nice if some of these high upside HS guys sign. I like that we grabbed some lefties and some giant pitchers.

"The 90 wins is about challenge. It's about changing the conversation. It's about framing questions for ourselves as to how we get there. So I stand by the notion that we need to get better, and in doing so we need to set concrete goals for ourselves so that we have sort of specific conversations among ourselves about how we're going to get there." -- Mr. Alderson

I think given the constraints of the draft now if a team does not have a ton of money that they can use, then for the most part the drafts can only be solid and not great. So this is what I think of this draft class by the Mets. It's a solid one, conservative early, but as I thought they would, they drafted some HS kids late.

Are there any stars in this draft from the Mets? As of right now I don't think their is, but I like Conforto and think he could be above average.

Apparently Tyler Moore will sign. Hopefully it's very underslot.

Am sure it is and obviously it was a deal that was done going into the draft.

Sound like#5 Prevost, #6 Moore, #14 Knight, #15 Llanes, #25 Blank and #24 Badamo have all indicated that they will sign soon.

Their is also a rumors that one of the higher HS pitchers picks will be signing, but does not want to make it know yet.

I thought Moore would surely sign underslot. That is disappointing.

He is a JR, so he had other options. Prevost should be signing for 100k or less.

But he wasn't even an everyday catcher.

We'll that's because they had a rotation, so he saw time someplace else.

Am leaving this one up to the scouts who saw him, since I have no idea what he does well, they like what they saw and well he had other options unlike a SR, so he cost the. Mets more than those guys would.

I have a feeling we won't be signing many of the HS kids past Round 10.
