NYC has been sucking up to this guy for years. At what point does it stop? the media saids nothing. They give him a free pass. ESPN, WFAN, Daily News, SNY, YES, NY Post, WallStreet Journal WTF. With the amount of money he spent, the warning from Hal, how does this guy not get fired already.

I do not equate the Yankees championships to Brian Cashman, if anything he's the reason the team has been handicapped.

Many pieces for the dynasty run were already in place before Cashman was GM. He can take credit for 09.

He's probably going to get promoted to a senior management job while Billy Eppler takes over...

Well, let's be honest here about this year:

60% of our starting rotation is gone.
Our 3-4 hitters have been gone.
Our closer has a 4.50 era.

We have actually had a bunch of kids step in and play well.

Not sure how that's Cash fault.

First of all, this is RC's dream season because as Leo said, there are tons of kids playing and RC loves to watch kids play.
Second, we have lost all of our pitching (as Leo stated)
Third, It's nice to see RC this happy but it is a bit disturbing.
Fourth, as Leo stated, the younger players are contributing quite well and that is a great things to see.
Fifth, It's not Cashman's fault that Jeter stuck around or that Tex got injured again after starting off well or that Beltran has weird **** happen or that DRob is less than effective.
Sixth, RC loves this team so much, he watches them alone in a dark room with boxes of kleenex for what he says are his tears of joy.
Seventh, I don;t think Cashman has done a great job but I can't pin the blame on him for this one.

    Hi Leo!
Sorry RC- I couldn't resist. lol

You guys want to defend Cashman?

    - how about the fact he picked up R.Johnson when the need was a 1B to spell Teixeira?

    - how about the fact that our first rd. draft pick position players don't make the majors

    - not getting a legit fulltime middle of the line up guy

    - Thornton being a bust

    - the Montero trade still does nothing for us

    - the international signings haven't touched the majors in years

I know it's 100% not his fault. But it's time someone capable that knows what they are doing baseball wise runs this team. The man has spent nearly a billion dollars of the Yankees funds and that has equated to a roster that is over aged, over the hill in spots and .500.

The ax has to land on him. The excuses he continues to get. This is Derek Jeter's last season, he might not even make the playoffs.

the guy that has to take over for Cashman needs to start now. When Jeter retires, who is the future of the Yankees? you can't even come up w/ one.
