Let's try to keep the discussion centered on the minors this time around.

Guy the Cubs should totally trade for - Gary Sanchez - is now at .257/.322/.436/.757 in the SL with 199 PAs. 17 BBs, 34 Ks, 7 HRs, 11 2Bs, 40% CS rate defensively in 48 attempts.

How quickly do the Yankees say no to a trade built around Travis Wood for Gary Sanchez?

Would prolly have to add a prospect in to make it worth it to them.

See now I'm on Board if we can center it for Wood. I've come around on Sanchez just based on seeing what a guy like Yadi can do for a team. Seems like allot of catchers hit stride a bit later then most specs.

I do think we'd need a secondary price and they'd prob do the same to a lesser degree.

What about Wood, Jackson, Barney, Vogelbach and cash? Their rotation is that bad - Nuno is even more smoke and mirros than Wood and Pineda is down with more shoulder/back stuff.

Get back Sanchez, Jake Cave, Ian Clarkin, Mason Williams, and Jose Ramirez.

Or maybe Wood and Almora for Sanchez, Cave, and one of Clarkin/Banuelos/Smith with Smith as the least favorite option. I don't know.

    ---

ANYWAYS, Bryant is probably not going to catch Baez in the AA home run race unless he hits two in the next two PAs. I hope that was a bet somewhere.

They say no about as quick as we say no to a shark for sanchez deal.

Just Sanchez for Samardzija would be pretty insane indeed.

Don't forget Cameron Maybin as an OF trade candidate, and Pablo Sandoval through FA.

Sandoval is probably the worst idea you've had in awhile but I'm not about to start that discussion again, especially in the minor league thread. I like the Maybin idea though but don't see it happening.
