I don't think anyone should be surprised about this, between the shady voting process, corruption within FIFA and the fact that Qatar has almost nothing to do with football this was a no brainer.

I think the US should get it too, they have the structure and fanbase to pull this off easily (any sporting event for that matter).

No chance it goes to the US as they hosted it in "94.

It will probably go to England.

But knowing fifa, they will give it to Somaliland.

USA/Canada joint WC would be sweet, based on the "short" amount of time to get ready for it. Would be easy to organize with the amount of huge stadiums we have.

I mean its widely known that the USA has gotten the Olympics in years which no one else wanted it- or by default. I thin it kind of has to be a European nation, Canada or the USA- with USA and European Nations having the lead because of the climate during the summer.

Platini now announced that he will no longer support Blatter. Lol, that is what you call a scumbag. He was by his side when times were good, but now that the situation is going south he is jumping ship. What a douche!!!! He needs to be investigated as well!!!!!

This would be the right move. I wonder how much Qatar has spent already on construction. I heard they were planning to spend up to $200 Billion

If this thing drags on for a while then ends up changing locations its possible they give it to someone like the US because we have stadiums already made to house huge events. As many as you need. in 94 we had it in ,NJ, TX,CAL, IL , Michigan, and a few others. Today there are even more newer stadiums.
