Is Kevin Towers about to be fired?

@nickpiecoro: Derrick Hall said Dbacks interviewed "a few" other candidates, some for the same type of position as Tony La Russa, others for GM.

This tweet seems to imply that no? "Others for GM"

Hopefully, sooner rather than later. It is time to clean house.

If he were the gm of the yankees he'd never be fired.

One of the worst GM's in the game, no question.

But he has stunned all of us with some trades that worked out of nowhere.

But not so much the roster construction, but rather the 'bean them' attitude that I can't stand.

He's basically Jim Hendry with a smaller payroll. His smaller deals the under radar ones are fantastic he's had 1-2 bad ones like trader Jim and much like Jim listens to ownership to much. A good gm has 2 of Hendry and towers on his staff. They are great assets just sometimes can't handle the whole enchilada

He's a terrible GM. Getting La Russa in there could really turn things around for that team.
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 49-62, games this week vs. Cardinals (3), Angels (3)
Indianapolis Colts: Good draft and off-season so far.
Looking for new NBA team to cheer for
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.

    I respect tlr.

But I don't think you'll find anything visionary or really that special with him handling a teams baseball operations.

He has a ton of bias in him, and I think that will affect his choices.
