Can You Craft An Argument That...

Reggie Bush and DeMarco Murray are greater than Matt Forte?

I can't wrap my head around this. I know lists and rankings are meaningless but we are talking about two guys who barely put up 1500 from scrimmage with less TDs than a man who came within a bill of 2000. The fact that players craft this list just make it so disturbing.

    In what world is:

    1512 and 7 TD or 1471 and 10 TD greater than 1933 and 12

Lacy, I can be persuaded of and abide by... But these two?

What are you talking about? Who made that argument in the first place?

I think Murray is a better runner than Forte. Forte is very versatile, but is not elite in any single aspect. Bush is the best receiver by far and home run hitter while forte is a better blocker and power runner. Honestly they are all pretty close, it comes down to preference.

Murray best pure runner and good receiver

    Forte jack of all trades.

Bush home run threat and can go out wide and is effective as almost any slot receiver on the line.

What? Murray caught 53 passes, which is very good. However, he turned those into 350 yards, which is entirely mediocre. He scored just once, indicative of how blah he is/was after the catch.

Matt Forte caught 74 passes and averaged 8 per. That absolutely, unequivocally destroys Murray.

Reggie Bush - such a home run threat! He's never eclipsed 8 total TDs in a single season but man, he can take it to the house on any given touch...

BTW, both of those players missed two games, so that's where most can say 'well if they hadn't been injured' but THAT'S where added value from Forte's season comes from.

I said Murray is a good receiver never said better than Forte.

I was shocked when I was watching it too. There's not justification to rank Bush or Murray ahead of Forte. Maybe they prove us wrong in the future, but right now it's absolutely not the case.

Im not agreeing with the rankings or anything, but as a Lions fan, I must point out the fact that Reggie was in a 50/50 time share with Joique Bell. So if you're gonna quote yardage, you're not telling the whole story. Is Forte good? Of course. Is Reggie good? Of course. But this is the NFL top 100 list. If that had Johnny Manziel at #1 already I wouldnt be surprised. So who cares?
