    Yu don't mess with Toronto - Jays/Rangers May 16-18

    Toronto Blue Jays

    Vs

    Texas Rangers

    Friday May 16, 7:05

Drew Hutchison (1-3, 4.37 ERA) vs Yu Darvish (3-1, 2.33 ERA)

Hutchison lost his third straight decision Sunday vs. the Angels, walking a season-high four batters. He lasted 4 1/3 innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out five. Has struck out at least five in seven of his eight starts.

Darvish threw 8 2/3 innings in an 8-0 victory over the Red Sox on Friday, losing a no-hitter with two outs in the ninth on a single by David Ortiz. He is 4-1 with a 2.29 ERA in seven career starts against the Astros.

    Saturday May 17, 7:05

Mark Buehrle (7-1, 2.04 ERA) vs Colby Lewis (3-2, 4.99 ERA)

Buehrle improved to 7-1 on the season with a win over the Angels on Monday. The durable lefty continued to impress in his last outing, going six innings while allowing two runs on six hits. He walked for and struck out two.

Lewis pitched 52/3 scoreless innings in a 4-0 victory over the Astros on Monday. He allowed seven hits, two walks and eight strikeouts. He is 3-4 with a 7.34 ERA in eight career starts and one relief appearance against the Blue Jays.

    Sunday May 18 - 2:05

RA Dickey (4-3, 4.53) vs TBA

Dickey has settled into a bit of a groove after a rough start to the year. He has tossed five consecutive quality starts and has struck out at least six in all but one of those outings. The downside is that Dickey has pitched seven innings only once.

Hutch loses. Buerhle wins. Dickey maybe wins but depends if the offense can carry us. I think Dickey gives up like 5 runs.

A rare occasion where we may not actually be at a such a disadvantage pitching wise. The Rangers pitching staff is as big of a mess as ours

With Janssen, Cecil, Loup, Delabar, Wagner, McGowan, Redmond

There isn't much excuses for the pen anymore. Other than Santos, we got everyone. Now if only the starters can give us a couple of 6+ inning starts

I think are only chance to win the first game is by getting lucky with a dinger and a great game by Hutch or just simple getting darvish to throw a crap load of pitches then hammer on the pen late in the game. I do like the other two matchup a though.

The Darvish game will be really tough.... the other two should hopefully be winnable.

And with the way the offense is going, it's very possible we can get to all 3 of the Rangers pitchers.

2 of 3 would be great here - keep us up with the rest of the AL East.

If hutch doesn't give you 6 today, you really need to consider sending him down. Game 1 is all but a write off with Darvish going, but it'd be nice for the pitchers to keep us in the game.

With all the pitching depth the Jays have, it makes a world of sense to demote one of the few starters who are actually performing well. Especially if he doesn't go 6 innings tonight (as if that should be some sort of valuable benchmark).

Come on, try to keep up mvp ;-) lol

And if Juan Francisco doesn't go 2-4 today, you really need to consider cutting him........

Hopin for 2 of 3, but should be a close series. They are hanging around the .500 mark as we are. Got to believe if we can beat Darvish, we can sweep!

If he gives us 7 do we still have to send him down?..
