How do you rate the Vikings picks in the 2014 NFL draft?

Round 1 Pick 9: LB Anthony Barr- B
Round 1 Pick 32: QB Teddy Bridgewater- A+
Round 3 Pick 72: DE Scott Crichton- A
Round 3 Pick 96: RB Jerick McKinnon- B-
Round 5 Pick 145: OG David Yankey- A-
Round 6 Pick 182: CB Antone Exum- C-
Round 6 Pick 184: CB Kendall James- C+
Round 7 Pick 220: NT Shamar Stephen- C+
Round 7 Pick 223: OLB Brandon Watts- D+
Round 7 Pick 225: CB Jabari Price- F

Overall I would have to give this draft grade a B-. We had a few steals and some great picks but there were some real head scratching picks towards the end.

Entire Draft -- A -- Teddy + Barr make it close to A any way. Yankey and Crichton are great picks and we got small great athletes with McKinnon, Exum, Stephen, James, and Watt that can help special teams and hopefully develop

Those last 4 I just can't wrap my head around...maybe right positions to be drafting, but better talent left out there

I give us an A. If you would of told me before the draft that we would end up with Anthony Barr, Teddy Bridgewater, Scott Crichton, and David Yankey I would not of believed you. Those are the highlights of the draft for me and I really like those picks.

I also like the upside of Jerick McKinnon. The Shamar Stephen pick seems like a solid pick to me. Don't know much about the other picks but I do like that the LB Watts ran a 4.4 so that tells me he is an athlete. Never heard of those CBs but Mike Zimmer knows what he is doing with DBs.

Overall I say A-. This might look odd with some of the grades listed but getting a franchise quarterback (imo) is what boosts the overall grade. I agree with Vikingsfan above about the 4 guys he listed. I think we could have done better in the late rounds, specifically with the defensive back.

Draft is an A/A+ for me just because of our first 5 rounds. That's where we get the meat and potatoes of our stars. Only real head scratcher for the early picks is McKinnon but he might work out in the long run. Teddy really brings this draft to the high A range for a grade, still in awe. For the late rounds, really like Exum and he would of been a top safety if he wasn't injured. Think Greg Childs of the safety position. Hopefully this experiment doesn't end up in a rare injury.

I was Very very pissed at the players we selected in the 6th and 7th rounds. What the H###? DIXON,Smallwood,Sam,Fales,SEASTRUNK,GAINES,ZUMWALT ,McCullers,Loston,Darby?
Just stupid. What ever though. I'm just left wondering...What the???

I like some of our Undrafted FA's
Richardson-OT-A+ Great pick and solid depth behind Loadholt.
    A.C Leonard-TE-B--Could be a great,great find.
Austin Wentworth-OT-C--Might be a good find as well. Protected Carr on blindside and very strong.
All the rest of the UDFA's are bad pickups.
    Flash!...... Aaha!!

How can you give Yankey a B? He was widely considered in the top 3 of OG and was thought of as a for sure Day 2 guy and most likely early Day 2. We picked him up in the 5th round thats craziness. Also I think we all may soon fall in love with McKinnon when he is shredding defenses catching passes out of the back field on third downs.

I can't grade the last four picks because I do not know enough about them, but I trust Zimmer on these guys.

I give the draft an A. Barr, Bridgewater, Yankey, Crichton, Exum and Jerrick, good picks.

I gave him a B because of how he looked to me at the Combine. He didn't look all that good to me. Only 22 reps at the combine. 5.46 in the 40. Don't get me wrong, I love the pick in the 5th and I love what his coach had to say about him, I just have to see what happens. As far as giving Mckinnon a C, I only gave him that because I felt like that was too high to go get him.
My previous mocks I was banging the table hard for Mckinnon,Yankey, and Bridgewater.
I love where we got Bridgewater, and I do agree with the Barr pick and Crichton will be great depth behind Griffen or Robison. Griffen,Robison,Wooton, and Crichton is a good group of pressure guys.
I hate our depth at DT though. We are missing better depth for sure. It could come up to bite us.
I like Exum, and like what I hear about James, but we missed out on a lot. We should have used our 7th rounders and a sixth on better depth. Oh well. We shall see.
They are the coaches and scouts, so my trust is in them.
Overall I would have to say B+ (including Undrafted FA's)

How do you rate the Vikings picks in the 2014 NFL draft?

Since Spielman took over complete control all of his draft picks thus far has been an A+
It's too early to rate this draft as none of them have been on the field-
So I reserve judgment knowing that Spielman usually nails this stuff
