    The Teddy Bridgewater Thread

Vikes traded a second and a fourth round pick to Seattle in order to select him. IMO, the safest pick of all the quarterbacks despite a negative offseason. Discuss.

Look Teddy has some work and some flaws but you can't argue with getting him at 32. I highly doubt he would have been there when we picked in the 2nd. What he did on the field is what matters. The pro day was for sure discouraging but his intangibles of being a leader and his ability to read defenses will go a long way as he continues to develop physically.

I loved Teddy all season, and wanted him so badly all season, then all of a sudden, the media got so down on him, and they swayed my opinion a little bit...but what is the reason the media got down on him? A pro day? The guy looks tremendous in games...Ponder had a good pro day, Jamarcus Russel had a good pro day...and those guys suck. When you watch them in college, there was obvious holes in their games. When you watch Bridgewater in college, nothing sticks out like a sore thumb.

Cassel starts game one, and then it is up to him to keep the job or lose it after that.

as WSUtony said, for that price, its an obvious deal. We still have as many picks in this draft as we originally had, because of Spielman's flossing Cleveland again...that 5th round pick we got from them is a high 5th rounder too.
