Looking forward to Petit's start (not sarcasm). Really want to see what he can do with multiple starts.

This is kind of surprising seeing as they were saying pre-game that he'd make his next start.

Just get healthy for the LA series. We should be entering that series with Bum/Cain/Hudson.

    Watching the Giants bullpen like:

Why is his DL stint Retro to the 24th of April, that's nearly two weeks ago? When is he eligible to come back? 8th or 9th?

He missed his last start, so it's retro to the day after his most recent start.

So he's expected to miss one more start, but they needed a bullpen arm to cover for Petit.

Oh I see, and I guess that means he will be activated on the 9th, maybe a little later if they don't want to mess with anyones normal rest.

I'm interested to see how Petit looks tomorrow in PIT. Another start like last week, and were in good shape.

Why don't they call up Escobar, the minor league pitcher that is supposed to join the rotation this year ?

Because it's just a spot start, no sense in starting Escobar's clock now. Not to mention, Petit has done well enough to deserve another start. Dunning was called up just to have another bullpen arm.
