    Jeff Samardzija rumors

    http://fansided.com/2014/05/03/mlb-r...rdzija/#!Ikw28
$5 mil or so owed this year and arb. eligible next year. Free agent in 2016. Saw ManBan and Jose
Ramirez would get it done. I'm down. Thoughts?

Yankees better hurry up and take that deal if they would do it. I doubt Cubs would do it though.

Doubt the Cubs would do it, but Samardzija isn't all that great anyways. They want a ton for him last I heard and he's just not that good.

So a rumor can start just because an unknown person posted it on twitter?

    That's new.

No chance we give up Banuelos in a package for Shark. He's just not that great, and a move to the AL would only bring his value down.

    Cash- just say no!

People seriously overrate the **** out of prospects. And I thought I overrated them.

Anyone who says they wouldn't give up banuelos and Ramirez is a little slow in the head. Banuelos didn't pitch for like 2 years who knows what he turns out. The shark is good and only 29. Best case scenario banuelos turns out like him. Kind of like the Austin Jackson granderson trade.

If they asked for Gary Sanchez you do it.

Banuelos wasn't particularly good before he got hurt either. Ramirez is a bullpen arm.

Fine, sure. Give up the remaining arms we have in the farm. Banuelos may not turn out to be great, but there's still some upside there, and we know what Shark is. A slightly above average pitching in the NL.

Look at Shark's peripherals...not great at all. He gives up a lot of hits, a lot of walks, and his K numbers are down.

If you're going to mortgage prospects, at least package Banuelos with someone like a Sanchez for a top flight arm in return.

Lets see, give up a young lefty (was ranked 43rd best prospect before TJ) and a strike out machine who at worst can be an elite bullpen arm for a starter who has a career 4.04 era, gave up 25 home runs last year. Yes he strikes alot of guys out but gives up 8 hits per game and walks almost 4 batters a game... All in the national league. Im good , for all that trade for a kyle kendrick and give up alot less
