Good for the Lakers...I doubt the Bulls even grant permission though. I said this in the other thread, but Paxson was pretty adamant about Thibs being the coach here, being under contract for 3 more years, etc. I doubt they want to add a Head Coaching search to their list of things to do in the Offseason and chances are, whoever they replace him with will not be as good.

Don't really understand them even asking the Bulls this. Why would we even grant them permission to talk to Thibs?

because thibs and the front office don't get along. And for some reason we do trade thibs, you can say good bye to melo and in a few years say good bye to rose. Rose would definitely jump ship to play for the lakers and thibs. Hell maybe melo would goto the lakers too.

Let's bring Vinny back too because we're not getting a better coach than Thibs on the open market. It's annoying that this is even being speculated and even more so that some of you would be okay with it.

It's not like its gonna happen so why speculate? As far as replacements go, I think there's actually someone on Thib's bench that can take over.

    Kirk Hinrich? lol

    Bill Simmons ‏@BillSimmons
I feel good about this prediction: Thibs becomes this summer's Doc (traded for a future 1st round pick), then Chicago hires Fred Hoiberg.

Can't wait until later today or tomorrow when this gets shot down. So dumb this is even being talked about.
