    War Room (VII)

    Round 7....

I love the idea of SF getting jumpy and offering a king's ransom for #5.

    Give me #'s 30, 56, 61 and 94....along with next year's 1st rounder and you'll make me a very happy man.

We wouldn't get next years first with those picks, as they add up to 1376. #5 is worth 1700. I would even jump at that. this trade would give RM 8 picks from 30 to 107. Thats playing the numbers game and making your scouts earn thier pay!!

I personally would be happy getting a second (or 3rd & 4th) and staying in the top 15, even if we go back twice.

Thinking about it (yes a pile of picks is interesting), would you really give up the #5 for late-in-the-round picks? It's like giving up the #5 for an early 2nd, and early 3rd, on and on. If we make that trade, you are pretty much not getting a 1st rounder back, and you are picking at the end of every round.

We need quality on this team. If we are to trade back, I would rather do so with the Lions. You still get a early 1st to get a top prospect. Heck, all of the top QBs could even still be there, which would still give us more options.

To be honest and add some conspiracy to my opinion, trading down that far (to the 49ers) is probably to give Reggie a reason as to why he will pick Carr. Again, I just hope he isn't drafting guys on their personal lives. We will see come draft day.

I don't consider 2nd and 3rd rounders 'late round picks'.

I lack the vocabulary to describe just how fast I'd make that deal I laid out above.

Reggie McKenzie will address media tomorrow at 12:30 PT. This his first draft as #Raiders GM with a slotted pick in the 1st two rounds.

Well I messed up my vocabulary as well. I meant 'late in the round' picks. You are picking at the end of each round.

Florida DT Dominique Easley was a first round pick in the fall before blowing out his knee in practice. If he's healed he should go Top 32

Easley would make a great pick round 2 if we dont go DT. Sure there is risk involved but there is risk in most picks.

I honestly think WR is our 2nd round pick (unless we get more than 1). Jordan Matthews if he is there.

Supposedly a very good player, but I think we have others in mind at that position, at least I do.

How can you be in the Mack Donald crew and shy away from Easley haha. Easley is pretty identical in shape and size to Donald. In my opinion Easley is more talented then Donald. Would be estatic with either. Take away the blown knee and he is a sure fire top 10 pick. Both Donald and Easley would make great DTs for the Raiders and Easley is possible to have in the 2nd.

For the most part Ill be happy with almost any draft Reggie comes away with. Few players I dont want and would make me upset. I dont follow Reggie blindly but believe in what he is doing and if he draft a player Im sure it was who he felt was best for the organization.

Very possible. Depends on round 1. If we end up with Evans or Watkins round 1 then WR isnt a need. If we went QB or offensive lineman I can see a WR in round 2. Guys like Moncrief and Abbrederis in round 3 would be great additions too and could focus elsewhere in round 1 and 2 as well. Very deep WR draft. Only 2 clear cut #1s in my opinion in Watkins and Evans but a solid amount of potential 1s and solid #2s in this draft all the way through the 3rd round.
