I don't know if I'm ready to call it a good move since I can't really think of a single way Getz is better than Kawasaki.

Also gotta free a 40 man spot up for him, so in addition to getting the inferior player you're also likely to lose someone else. I really, really don't get what their issue is with Kawasaki.

It really is strange that Kawasaki wasn't called up. I don't get it.

Kawasaki bang someone's wife? He is better than all these chode's, the only jay that actually grinds out at bats and makes the pitcher work

She MUST be the reason Getz got the call. What a rocket!

yea Diaz is not better than Kawasaki.. obviously defensively he is but it not like Kawasaki is Russ Adams with the glove

Diaz has a wRC+ of 47, meaning he's around 53% below league average.
Kawasaki was a 78 wRC+ last year, and 91 vs RHP.

No amount of defence makes Diaz look better than Kawasaki. I'm with MVP on this, they're just going out of there way not to promote Kawasaki.

Getz has more speed on the bags. He stole 16 last year in 1/2 a season so he does add that which neither Diaz, Goins or Kawasaki could not. He's not Davis but we lack any speed off the bench and at least Getz has that to offer!
