                                1.34 WHIP 1.64

                                13 BB's 9

    Scouting Report:
Padres: In his first start since tossing eight shutout innings against the Giants, Ross scuffled early against the Brewers. He allowed a three-run home run to Jean Segura in the second inning, part of the five runs he yielded on nine hits in six innings.

Giants: Bumgarner pitched a complete game Tuesday at Coors Field, yielding two solo homers and scattering seven other hits and a walk with six strikeouts - in a loss. His efficiency was key, going eight innings on 97 pitches.

    Game 2: Tuesday, April 29th @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Eric Stults......Matt Cain

    Code:
                                Stults Cain

                                4.15 ERA 4.35
                                1.50 WHIP 1.32
                                26.0 IP 31.0
                                12 K's 25
                                5 BB's 10

    Scouting Report:
Padres: Stults had a lot of traffic on the bases in his last start against the Nationals. He allowed 10 hits in 5 1/3 innings but mostly escaped trouble. He got a no-decision. His walks are down in 2014 but his hits per nine innings is currently 11.8.

Giants: Cain pitched into the seventh Wednesday at Colorado after allowing five runs in the first two innings. The Giants' 12-10 win in 11 innings was their first victory in Cain's five starts.

    Game 3: Wednesday, April 30th @ 7:15 PM

    VS.
    Robbie Erlin..........Tim Hudson
    Code:
                                Erlin Hudson
                                4 Starts 5
                                1 Wins 3
                                3 Losses 1
                                6.35 ERA 2.19
                                1.41 WHIP 0.78
                                22.2 IP 37.0
                                20 K's 25
                                6 BB's 2

    Scouting Report:
Padres: With the bullpen low on fresh arms, Erlin had to work longer into a rough start against the Nationals his last time out than he might normally would have. His fastball command was amiss and contributed to allowing eight earned runs in 5 1/3 innings.

Giants: Hudson has lasted at least seven innings in each of his five starts, the longest such streak by a Giants pitcher since Livan Hernandez recorded six in 2002. Hudson's home ERA is 2.82, compared with 1.23 on the road.

I hate calling this a Must Sweep Series, but this is a Must Sweep Series. Our 10 game road trip is intimidating and it'd be nice to be 8 games over .500 entering that.
So Anna, what do you think about the notion that Russell Wilson is better than Andrew Luck?

The Padres Lineup might be the most random thing I've ever seen:

    Cabrera SS
    Maybin CF
    Denorfia LF
    Nady RF
    Medica 1B
    Amarista 2B
    Rivera C
    Peterson 3B
    Ross P

Perfect time for Gyorko to go on paternity leave

Would you trust a blind scout? Of course you wouldn't but that's what you do when you simply go by stats

As long as they win Wednesday night, I'm fine personally. From a team perspective, sweeps forever.

Lucky to keep it close. Padres 7 LOB while we have 0. Still plenty of time to make up 2 runs.
