One day these guys will learn not to slide head first into a base. Those bags have no give and we see it far too often from guys who not only go into other bases head first but specifically 1st base, which is ludicrous (although I know he got hurt sliding into 3rd that way).

Agree. But Ryan Zimmerman, also a thumb injury but needed no surgery, will be back soon.

Plus Harper was not really doing anything this month anyways.

To bad for Washington. Oh well as long as they don't struggle to much in his absence they should be fine for when he returns in July.
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 46-52, games this week vs. Blue Jays (4), Rays (3)
Indianapolis Colts: Good draft and off-season so far.
Looking for new NBA team to cheer for
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.

Are the Nats going to be the perennial disappointment? Understand it's injuries but damn.

Pull Strasburg two years ago for the playoffs. Underachieve last season. Possibly decimated by injuries this season.

I thought Strasburg was average in 2013.

But true he wasn't the ace for Nats last year, that was Jordan Zimmerman.

I like Bryce Harper, and I've got nothing against the Nats. But I can't help but smile at the irony of this situation. Nats manager benches Harper for not hustling while running the bases. Then Harper is hustling and slides improperly and now he's out for 2 months.

Just kind of a humorous observation for me.

    Pure Sex.

you have fun with your properly evaluated medical studies....i'll believe my garbage. you believe yours.

And the critique comes from a guy who didn't run out ground balls in his career.
