Taj Gibson Vs Omer Asik ( Pick a Side )

I know everyone has their opinions on this, and im sure some will still say that we should have kept Asik, but i want to get everyones opinion on this, after all the scrutiny of letting Omer essentially walk (although his contract would have been killer next season) for Over Paying Taj Gibson who was a mediocre bench player, but looking back, did the bulls make the right choice in your opinion, or do you wish we could do it all over again and keep Asik here.

    Asiks Contract -3 year / $25.12 million

    Taj's Contract - 4 years / $33 million

It's harder to find someone like Asik than it is to find a Taj. But it's harder to find a rookie who's defensively ready like Taj was.

I'd take Taj pretty much every time. Asiks hands still give me nightmares. So many missed opportunities because he could catch a pass.

I'll take Asik but I wouldn't be surprised if we finally got our Asik back in this draft 2 euro bigs around 7'2 who are looking pretty nice right now at number 20.

Taj most defnitly for me. I really don't want Bulls to include him in any trades.

I don't know how the nba cap works, so I'd keep Taj Gibson, Omer Asik, and Taj Omer-Gibson Asik.

I love me some Taj Gibson. If it means we get Melo then fine but if not I don't want Taj going anywhere. Even still I wouldn't be happy

Now I would take Taj. I don't know about back then, because I thought we would be able to keep both so I didn't think about this question (probably leaned toward Asik but liked Taj more), but regardless GarPax made the right decision.

Last year, almost everyone here was complaining about choosing Taj over Asik. Now, I guess it's a completely different vibe

Taj has really impressed me in playoffs I'd still trade him if we had to though. We can replace Taj in the draft guy may not be as good but if we used the money to bring over Mirotic and get a guy like Melo, Parsons, Hayward, or AA I'd do it in a heart beat.

Not sure I see the point in rehashing this, but I still believe Taj is the more replaceable of the 2 players. I wish we could have kept them both though. Our frontcourt depth has been an issue ever since Asik went to Houston and it doesn't help that Boozer has just gotten worse.

This, although management definitely made the right decision, proving us all incorrect on this issue and continuing to prove supporters of their FO decisions right
