Giants: Lincecum earned his first win of the season Sunday, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in six innings against the Padres. It was also his first quality start of the year.

    Scouting Report:
Indians: Salazar's early-season struggles continued Tuesday, when he gave up five runs (four earned) in 4 1/3 innings against the Royals. The right-hander has allowed 14 earned runs in 12 2/3 innings in his last three starts.

Giants: Vogelsong had little command Monday in Colorado, elevating his pitches and coming out after 1 1/3 innings, his shortest outing in 82 starts as a Giant. He gave up five runs on three homers. He never found his rhythm, and the Rockies took advantage.

I can see taking 2 of 3 as long as Bochy leaves Belt in the top 3.

Would you trust a blind scout? Of course you wouldn't but that's what you do when you simply go by stats

It'd make sense, but he doesn't have to. He can probably cough up 5 runs and still coast to a win depending on what Vogelsong plops out.

I think we win tonight and that's it. The other game I think we could win is Sunday's because Salazar is giving up 2.45 HR/9.

Giants take Game 1, surprisingly win Game 2, then mysteriously get shut down by Salazar in Game 3.

I'm just chalking up Vogelsong starts as automatic losses until I see any kind of improvement from him. I say we take 2/3 if Dr. Jekyll Lincecum shows up.

Would be nice to see Lincecum string together 2 consecutive QS.

It's beyond any logic at this point. We have a struggling offense and having our second best hitter batting so low, regardless of what hand the pitcher throws with, is a disgrace.

In Bochy's defense, Belt's only hitting .324/.359/.486 against lefties this year.
