According to the Cubs Sammy still needs to "make amends" and his ego is likely still too big for it. Maybe someday, but probably not soon.

That was a dumb move. It's pretty much against what Ricketts said before about trying to make things good with Sammy.

Bet Selig had something to do with it.

It would have been nice to see him yesterday. I missed the game but I hears there were only 11 ex cubs there. I would have hoped for more.

Nobody from the '84 team. No Wood, either. Happy birthday Wrigley!

Dernier and Sarge were there for 84, but no representation of 2003 for some reason.

**** the FO. I don't care how big of an ego Sosa has, he should have been there. Period. The Cubs should have done anything they could to make it happen.

OK Nick, you see that over there? That's what used to be of our playoff chances.

My name is Mark Sanchez. I am here to screw you over.

Who, exactly, is Sosa supposed to make amends to?

Who from the time period Sosa's fall from grace happened is around with the organization to make amends to?

Exactly, that's a BS response, it's pathetic that he was not only uninvited but not mentioned. No one at that game had a bigger impact on the current fanbase than Sosa, not Banks or Williams, Sosa is the reason that Wrigley Field attendance skyrocketed for a decade.

    Why no Sosa yesterday?

No Sammy, no lee, no Lilly, no wood, no alou, no maddux, no sutcliffe. I am a huge Sammy fan my favorite player of all time and it sucked not seeing him. He deserves to be there imagine what it would do for guys like Castro and lake for Sammy to be there. He put butts in those seats when you had a guys on the mound like Kevin tapani...

I hope by 2016 they can make amends

Dick ****ing Butkus was there. Bears legend or not, I could give a **** less as a Cubs fan if Dick Butkus is there. Give me the all time great Cubs, period. Sammy should have not only been there, but should have been one of, if not the main piece.

OK Nick, you see that over there? That's what used to be of our playoff chances.
