Rumor Sale To The DL List.

After hearing Farmer and Jackson saying during the broadcast that Sale Tuesday start is being pushed backed, listening to the post game show, Chris Rongey reported a tweet from a MLB.COM reporter that he has heard the Sox are putting him on the DL.

Just a rumor, and I know you can't take The Score @ face value.

Will try to find out Tuesday on why Sale is really being pushed backed or if the rumor is true.

If so, we might be screwed.

Same injury Gavin Floyd was plagued with. Flex strain near the elbow.

If he's seriously hurt, Robin/Cooper whoever makes that decision needs to be fired. There is absolutely zero excuse to have him throw 127 pitches when they knew about it previously.

Is this a serious injury? Like TJ surgery?

The White Sox will place Chris Sale on the disabled list with a flexor muscle strain.

The White Sox announced earlier Monday that Sale wouldn't make his next scheduled start due to "general soreness," but now we have more details. The good news is that the left-hander has no ligament damage in his elbow, but a flexor strain is still something that could cause a lengthy absence. Charlie Leesman will replace Sale in Chicago's rotation. ROTOWORLD

Well ****. this sucks. I wouldn't be shocked if they keep him on an innings limit for the rest of the year when he gets back. Let the carousel of starting pitchers begin.

I knew it was a bad idea having him throw that many pitches last week. He should not be throwing much more than 100 in games thats pretty clear.

I'm in the minority on this opinion, but if you can't count on your ace to go 127 pitches once in a while, he's not an ace. I appreciate Chris Sale's talent, but if you can't lean on him to go deep, then the Sox aren't going to be able to count on him once they're a playoff contender.
