SACRAMENTO, CA - The City of Sacramento today posted the staff report for the April 22 Council meeting on the Entertainment and Sports Center (ESC). The staff report highlights the progress the City and the Sacramento Kings have made in finalizing the terms of the development agreement, as well as the development of the financing plan for the City’s contribution to the ESC.
In response, Kings President Chris Granger issued the following:
"Today's report shows how much progress the City and Kings continue to make on the new entertainment and sports center. After listening to our fans, our players, City leaders and the public, we have decided to invest an additional $30 million to enhance the public plaza, improve the L Street façade, and build a state-of-the-art practice facility that will help recruit the best players to Sacramento. We look forward to sharing the full vision for the project with the Council and public on May 13, and commencing demolition May 14."
