    Past Highlight

    Some info:
Two storied franchises will clash in the only first-round Stanley Cup playoff series that features a pair of Original Six brethren.

This opening-round series begins Friday with Game 1 at Boston’s TD Garden.

The last time the Red Wings and Bruins met in the playoffs was in the 1957 semifinals. Boston won in five games. It was so long ago – 57 years – that John Bucyk played in the series for Detroit, his finals games with the Wings before he was dealt to Boston in the off-season.

The last time the Wings beat the Bruins in a playoff series was the 1945 semifinals. Wings won in seven. That was Ted Lindsay's rookie season.

This time three Red Wings’ rookies – Riley Sheahan, Tomas Jurco and Luke Glendening – will make their debuts in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

I don't think a game 4 will even be needed when Boston refuses to step back on the ice with Detroit. I'm guessing Detroit wins in 4 games I suppose. Howard gets 4 shutouts and this team dominates.

I say the wings win it in 7. Wings win game 7 in double overtime 3-2.

Good, I was worried Sunday would be an early start, now I can sleep everything off.

I played like 5 games of NHL 13 yesterday, I'm all pumped

Wings will win game 1 and win the series in 6.

Zetterberg is skating and may be back late in the 1st round. As much as I want him back, I don't want the Wings to rush him.

And this time actually close out our round 2 opponent? Seriously we were better than them but didn't finish... and of course it had to be Chicago with one of the worst fan on this site.

Kid talked **** all series. Detroit can't win two games. Shut his mouth for awhile before talking **** again, after being proved wrong on each argument.

He was like just like most of the other people i know, silent and then acted like I talked a whole bunch of **** even though I was the only one who still was saying the Hawks could come back and they gave up hope.

    it was pathetic.
