    Top 10 QBs for 2014

This forum is kind of dead but hopefully some people will respond.

Just wanted people's opinions on who the top 10 QBs are in college for next year. Not in terms of projections for the NFL, just their abilities in the college game.

Pretty much the only ones I know are Winston, Mariotta and Petty so just want some opinions to learn more about this upcoming season.

    Jameis Winston
    Marcus Mariota
    Brett Hundley
    Braxton Miller
    Bryce Petty
Shane Carden (seriously, remember this guy)
    Kevin Hogan
    Taylor Kelly
    Nick Marshall
    Rakeem Cato

Kind of in order, but it's a little jumbled after the top 5. A few more just for the hell of it:

    Keenan Reynolds
    Sean Mannion
Connor Halliday (your typical Mike Leach quarterback)
    Anthony Boone
    Marquise Williams
    Christian Hackenberg
Gunner Kiel (until he decides to transfer for the 8th time)

Not anyone from Nebraska thats for sure.

Our greatest glory is not in never failing. But rather in rising back up every time we do.

    Cool, thanks

What do you think of Taysom Hill from BYU? I saw a couple games of his and was impressed

Also, who are going to be the QBs at Alabama and LSU this year?

I didn't get to see much of college last season so sorry guys. I wouldn't be much help aside from the obvious top 5 or so....

Too add on to that, no Michigan guys either. Especially Denard Gardner.

Jake Waters from K-state really finished strong last season shredding Oklahoma and then Michigan in their bowl game. I'd add him and Trevor Knight from Oklahoma to the list.

Dark horse candidate is Everet Golson from ND. ND's offense would have been alot better last year if they had Golson instead of Reese.

Petty, Mariota, Winston and Hundley are in an elite tier all by themselves.

    The obvious:
    Jameis Winston
    Marcus Mariota
    Bryce Petty
    Brett Hundley

    Next Tier:
    Nick Marshall
    Braxton Miller
    Christian Hackenberg

    Video Game Numbers:
    Connor Halliday
    Davis Webb

    Dark Horses:
Connor Cook (really came on strong for MSU later in the year)
Bo Wallace (gunslinger mentality with the name to go with it)
Keith Hogan (good tools, hasn't put it all together)
Shane Carden (crazy high completion %)
Jacob Coker (he's a legend, but no one knows what he's like under the lights)
Anthony Boone (some really good flashes at Duke last year, inconsistent, but Cutcliffe is a QB genius)
Trevor Knight (stellar against Bammer, should take strides as long as he plays within the team)
Cole Stoudt (okay, homer pick, but he's got solid tools, and Chad Morris is a wizard)

    The God You All Forgot:
Chuckie Keeton (seriously...he'll be top 5 in Heisman voting if healthy)

    Freshmen:
    Kyle Allen
    DeShaun Watson
    Drew Barker
    Brandon Harris
    Max Browne
    Kevin Olsen

I know I went overboard...but lots of QB turnover this year, especially east of the Mississippi.

Was Chad Kelly going to even challenge for the starting QB job this year had he not been a dumbass?

I'd like to add that one of the best QB's in college won't see a minute of playing time. Baker Maysfield will sit out a year and join Oklahoma next year. He and Amaro were amazing last year for Texas Tech before he got injured.

Chad Kelly the physical talent certainly could have, but I think it probably became clear over the course of Spring ball that he was not going to be able to stay out of his own way.
