    Jose Veras out as closer

Veras out of closer role for now says Renteria
Took less than 24 hours to change his mind.

It'd be nice if we just didn't have one and they just used their best pitcher in the highest leverage spots.

The FO tried that in Boston at first and it happened to go so bad and they got so much **** for it that it became a massive distraction and they had to dump it.

both pen signings look terrible... considering we have better in-house options. tired of hearing the word filpablity especially at the Beginning of a season.

Just use Rondon, Grimm, and Strop for awhile and see who sticks. All of them have good enough stuff/velocity to be great back of the bullpen options.

    In other bullpen news:
Rusin optioned out after long relief outing. Parker could be in line for promotion to take his place.

That works out pretty well, Rusin gave us the innings we wanted needed today, Parker a better BP fit.
