Can you see Pujols just walking away?

Let me just preface this with I'm on record saying Pujols is the greatest player of his generation. All those better were aided by PED's.

Yet he seems to be in decline and if it continues could you see him hanging it up within the next few years?

Nobody knows for certain why he's hit the wall like has. Some would say his lack of athleticism has hurt him as he's aged. Some say he's older than he is, whatever.

But even with that contract do you think he reaches the point where he says I'm not me anymore and I'm just done with the game.

He has 212,000,000 reasons to keep showing up and trotting out on the field even if he can't hit a baseball to save his life.

It's going to be interesting to see him earning 30 million dollars and probably not producing anything near that value down the line. Angels could have really ****ed them selves in the long term picture

Yeah, if he continues to decline I can see him walking away after 2017 when he would be 37.
    Favourite Teams:

Boston Red Sox: 49-62, games this week vs. Cardinals (3), Angels (3)
Indianapolis Colts: Good draft and off-season so far.
Looking for new NBA team to cheer for
Ottawa Senators: 37-31-14, season over, free agency begins this week.

    This.

There is no athlete in their right mind who would walk away from that type of money.

I don't think he would just walk away from 90-100 million, but I could see him reach the point where he would rather spend time with his kids than be terrible. I think he gets to the point where he and Moreno make a deal for him to work in the front office, or as a coach, and get his money deferred. Like an office job that pays him 5 mill a season for like 20 years. He has 4 kids and a step daughter with down syndrome.

This seems like the most likely scenario.

He walked away from the Cards for more money so I doubt he walks away from that money now.

Also part of the deal with the Angels would be that Albert gets to be a coach after he retires. He gets paid for that, too. So they could move that up a couple of years and defer his playing salary.

I don't see Albert giving up any money, though. Very few athletes would.
