(14) - Timmy Jernigan, DT - I think Donald will be gone before our pick, so this is the next best DT on the board. He flashed tons of potential at times and has the skills to be a very good 3T in the next level. He had some conditioning concerns after his NC game performance, but it was noted that he was ill that game. Great at stopping the run and powerful as ****. Could be a star in the NFL.
(51) - Deone Bucannon, SS - Reported to have had an interview with the Bears already, so there's interest. Hard hitting safety who would fit in with the Bears forced fumbling crew. He did improve his coverage skills last season and had 6 INTs. Plenty of room for the kid to grow, he could be a pretty good S at the next level.
(82) - Ka'Deem Carey, RB - Wild card pick here. Bears could use a backup RB, and someone to groom behind Forte. This pick could lighten Forte's load a little bit throughout the season. I would have much more confidence with him as the primary backup to Forte instead of Michael Ford.
(117) - Christian Jones, LB - Athletic and can play well in coverage with TEs. He has played all LB positions. I'm not sure where he would translate best in the NFL though.
(144) - Walt Aikens, CB - Another guy who met with the Bears at the combine. He has good size and although he is from a small school, he did start at Illinois and only transferred to Liberty due to his legal problems. Taking a chance on him in the 5th would be a good gamble.
(167) - John Brown, WR - We're going to need a KR/PR. Dude has blazing speed and could be our burner at WR. He could fill the Johnny Knox role well.
(175) - Zack Kerr, DT - I've talked about him quite a bit recently, but I love this guy. He has the size to be a NT and moves around really well for a big guy. His knock is being from a small school, but I've liked what I've seen. He may not be ready to contribute immediately, but I would take a shot on him in the 6th.
