    A's @ Twins (4/7 - 4/10)

    @

    Game 1
    Monday, April 7

    _________
    Scott Kazmir__________Kevin Correia

A's: The offseason addition was sharp in his debut last week in a 6-1 win, throwing 7 1/3 scoreless frames while striking out five and walking none. Against the Twins in 2013, Kazmir went 3-0 with a 1.45 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in five starts.
Other guys: Correia, who was the club's most consistent starter in 2013, will be rewarded by starting the home opener at Target Field. He threw a quality start in his 2014 debut against the White Sox on Wednesday, giving up two runs over six innings.

    Game 2
    Wednesday, April 9

    _________
    Jesse Chavez__________Phil Hughes

A's: Forced into the rotation after injuries to Jarrod Parker and A.J. Griffin, Chavez looked sharp in his A's starting debut against Seattle on Thursday, allowing two runs (one earned) over six innings of work in a 3-2 Oakland victory.
Other guys: Hughes made his Twins debut against the White Sox on Thursday with mixed results. The right-hander struck out seven and walked just one in five innings, but he gave up four runs, including two homers.

    Game 3
    Thursday, April 10

    _________
    Dan Straily__________Mike Pelfrey

A's: Straily was outdueled by Felix Hernandez in his 2014 debut despite putting together a quality start for the A's on Saturday. The 25-year-old faced the Twins once last year but received a no-decision after allowing three runs over 5 2/3 frames.
Other guys: Pelfrey started out by throwing four perfect innings against the Indians on Friday, but it all unraveled in the sixth, as he gave up a pair of home runs. He ended up allowing three runs on three hits and three walks over 5 1/3 innings.

It seems kind of weird that the A's have on off-day tomorrow in the middle of a series. I don't think I can remember that ever happening before.

Why doesn't MLB just put stationary cameras at the base of the foul poles and have them pointing straight up? That would make these fair/foul HR call sooo much easier.

Yeah, A's are getting some good at bats in. And that Lowrie foul ball should have been a HR. But whatever...he scored anyways

8-3 final. Minnesota looks like they are going to lose a lot of games this season.

Heard that you guys signed Joe Blanton. As an Angel fan, I'm telling you. This guy is just the worst. He does nothing well except throw meatballs right down the pipe. Hopefully he doesn't get into your starting rotation. I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemies. Guy is the worst player in baseball.

You realize Blanton came up with the A's right? We all know he's not stellar

Come to psd where admitted dupes who do nothing but troll the gd and fs forum are free. But man don't you dare mention trolling on someone's wall.

Haha... yeah Blanton was with us for a few years before we shipped him out to Washington. He is not good... but can eat up innings if we really need him.
