Boston Bruins (52-17-6) at Detroit Red Wings (35-26-14)

April Fool's day has passed but the Bruins fooled nobody in March as the Bruins finished the month with an outstanding record of 15-1-1 in 17 games, obtaining points in 16 of 17 games played. The month of dominance pushed the Bruins ahead of the pack in the Atlantic Division and eventually clinching the division title and the month of dominance not only pushed them ahead of Pittsburgh for the conference lead but they are on the brink of clinch the #1 seed in the East. And by the way, they currently are leading the race for the President's trophy. It is safe to say the month of March was exceptionally kind to the Bruins who dominated in all facets of the game and they look to carry this right into April and beyond.

As the month of April begins, the Bruins are currently working on a 3-game winning streak along with a franchise record, 9 game road winning streak, a 16-game point streak overall and a 16-game road point streak. The Bruins will look to extend all these tonight as they travel to Detroit to conclude the season series and perhaps give us some insight into what could be a first round matchup come playoff time.

After taking the first meeting from the Red Wings, Detroit has won the previous two meetings. With Detroit fighting for their playoff lives, they currently are one point ahead of the Blue Jackets for the #1 wild card spot and hold a 2-point lead over the Maple Leafs, and 3-point lead over the Capitals, the Red Wings need points and they know it. Typically a place of dominance for the Red Wings, their home ice hasn't been all that kind to them this season.

This is going to be a hard fought game and you know the Red Wings are giving it 110%. For the Bruins, you always hope to match intensity but you just hope it doesn't lead to injuries.

Anyways I'm PUMPED for this b/c for the first time in over a month I can FINALLY enjoy the game...and by enjoy I mean drink. Had two tests today (Statistics and Calc I) and have NO school work to do...I feel like a load is off my shoulders.

    LET'S GO BRUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha! Remember when Detroit won 6-1? I do. This is going to be a spanking for Boston. Boston 5-1 IMO. Detroit's been good, but Boston's been great. Daniel Alfredsson is outi tonight by the way.

Oh and Detroit's something like 9-0-2 in their past 11 at the Joe.. which is home ice, so that record looks a bit different now don't cha' say?

I remember getting into a debate with you guys about DeKeyser/Krug. So seriously, watch DeKeyser. He's #65.

    Franzen-Legwand-Nyquist
    Jurco-Sheahan-Tatar (exciting as hell)
    Miller-Glendening-Bertuzzi (I have a Bertuzzi tanktop)
    Andersson-Helm-Abdelkader

    Kronwall-Smith (Kronny's looked off)
    Quincey-DeKeyser
    Lashoff-Kindl
