Source: Kevin Love wants to be "big time in a big city"; Chicago, New York, LA listed

While Minnesota could certainly decide to go that route and hit the restart button, there is no assurance that the Lakers are truly Love’s most desired destination.

A source familiar with Love’s thinking told ESPNLosAngeles.com that it’s not just L.A. that is appealing to Love; he’s enamored with the idea of being “big time in a big city,” and that list of potential places he’d seek includes New York and Chicago, as well.

Love himself told GQ in February that his situation in Minnesota might be better than L.A. could offer anyway.

“People think it’s so far-fetched that I would stay in Minnesota,” Love told the magazine. “And I’m not s------- on the Lakers, but we have the better team, the better foundation. I’m having fun.”

unfortunately idc about sources right now. It's all back-channel talk right now, until after the playoffs imo. Anything until then that doesn't explicitly state Love as a direct quote of "i want out" or "i want to go to CHI" i'll ignore

Pretty much this. Until it happens, it's the same "sources" that claimed Kobe, Lebron, etc. want to be Bulls.

He'll be a Laker with Westbrook and that means Durant comes to Chicago

I'd give up every asset we have to get him. Rose/Love/Noah is a very easy trio to build around.

Much rather have Mirotic + assets. Let him go to LA.

/\ In a league where super groups are the order of the day, I like what you're saying but that might not bring us a Championship as quickly as having Rose/Love/Noah

The thing with the Rose/Mirotic/Noah core is that it's way less expensive than the Rose/Love/Noah

Obviously the latter has a more of a win now window than the first.

mirotic, yes we have hope/hype for him,but is much more of an unknown than you guys are acting like.the odds of him ever being as good as love is a one in a million shot;not impossible, but unlikely. i have hope for mirotic and do think he'll be a solid pro,but i'd take love a 100 times out of 100
