    Popovich, most quotable coach ever?

    I love Popovich, he's my favourite coach of all time and this latest comment got me thinking;

    Mike D'Antoni was pretty good in his heyday.
    The value of elite scoring ability, by Phil Jackson:

    "This is a guy, we recognize his talent, and his skill is the kind of skill and talent that gets you through playoff games where things get sticky, grind-out, and basketball becomes a force game and suddenly you need to have a player who has the capabilities of scoring with someone hanging on them in a situation thatís critical. Heís one of those players, one of the few players who can do that.Ē

    I loved the one where he was asked going into the fourth quarter when they were down by two what he thought going into the 4th.

    He said: "We're down."

    He probably is now.. I couldn't say ever simply cause I don't know how some coaches were many years ago. This was always a classic though.

    I was but a wee lad in his heyday, but I have heard Frank Layden was a quote machine. But Pop is awesome. One of my favorite things he has ever done is on the stat sheet he put by Robert Horry's name: DNP-Old Age". Lol. Did the same thing to Timmy recently.

    Haha that was awesome. Pop has a good sense of humor even if you rarely see him laugh.

    Pop has a sarcastic humor. He seems to rub off on his players.

    My favorite quote was from Phil Jackson: "We call this a 'Brokeback Mountain' game, because there's so much penetration and kickouts." He got some heat for it and then apologized for it.
