    Braves Sign Aaron Harang

Was he with a big league club this spring training? Just wondering if he is ready to pitch right away or needs time.

I think is a good signing, he's one year remove from a solid season and pitched very well this spring.

Agreed. His K/9 and BB/9 last year were his best since 2009 so that is a good sign.

It is good to be able to have the money to go out and get these arms.

Not thrilled about the signing. He could be an average 5th starter.

The rotation isn't very good right now.

Best defenders are in the stands!

He had a good spring and it seems his FB was near where it was a few seasons ago before dipping to high 80's last year. I see him slightly better than Garcia but not by much. Only hopefully need a month plus from him.

From watching Garcia a few times, his stuff was not looking good so I'm cool with Harang. He'll be in the rotation 4 or 5 starts then Mike and Gavin should be ready. Plus he adds some depth and a long man.

Good God, the Harang-A-Tang???? We're really scraping the sludge from the bottom of the barrel now aren't we? Not only will the Nats far surpass us this year, we will have a hard time with the rest of the division.

Man, you are hard to please, the Braves were one of the teams that spend the most this offseason, we extended most of our core players and we have a competitive team, it's not Wren's fault that Medlen and Beachy had season ending surgery and Wren did sign Santana who was viewed as a longshot to sign with us and he opened the wallet and made and offer. We have a good team we just have to battle.

But he isn't an all-star, so he is garbage! All signings need to be all-stars. Otherwise, they dont help the team.

I don't love Harang, but I like him better than Garcia. I think Wood and Floyd are fine as 4/5 guys once everything is in place. Minor, Santana, Teheran are a solid 1-3. They do not have the name power of Strasburg, but this team is far from imploding, contrary to GU's typical doomsday prophecies.

I just ignore him, I think Harang will be fine. He is better than anything we had and experienced.
