    Room For One More

The Raiders have a little more than $10 million to spend. $6 million has to be left aside for the rookies. That leaves them with $4 million to spend on one more signing. It should be a defensive tackle. I don't see Antonio Smith starting on the inside. Stacy McGee could be a 3-tech tackle but we must have a true runstuffer. Any news on Pat Sims? If we don't sign him then we must sign or trade for one of the DTs still available. What do you guys think?

Rookies first year salaries don't count against the cap, or so I'm told. So that's $6 extra million back in our pockets, imo...

Where are you getting that we have $10 million left? I thought we had something like $40 million the other day?

It's what I heard on the Raiders chat today i.e. insidebayarea raiders. Steve Corkran said it.

Eight free agents have been signed for big money. I'd say most of the available moneys have been used up.

Cork was wrong about the saving six million to sign rookies. If that were the case, most of the teams in the league couldn't sign their draft picks. They Dont count against the cap the first year.

At least one of both. We need more depth at runningback, tight end and linebacker too.

I think we're okay at RB, LB, and TE. The coaches like Cory Sheets and I like him too. I don't think Woodley is gonna be playing DE. He'll be a linebacker for sure. Rivera is a good tight end and Ausberry will be back.

Woodley has already been told and come out and said he was brought in to Oakland to play DE for them.

I don't see it happening because they signed Tuck and Smith.

Forgot about Ausberry, but Woodley will be playing DE. And I am not comfortable at all with the runningback situation.

^Okay we should not have let Jennings walk. But why we brought back McFadden I do not understand. He's another first round bust for the Raiders. But Cory Sheets could be a good player. He was very successful in the CFL and had a pretty good career in college too.
