    Key Match UP

    Anthony Davis v. Amir Johnson

    MHC TAKE:

Tonight the Raptors venture down to the state of Louisiana to take on the Pelicans in New Orleans. The last time these two teams met was back in early February when the Raps came up with the win 108-101. Toronto has not lost two consecutive games (prior to the game against Atlanta) since February 7th when the Raps lost games against the Kings and Clippers. The Raps last two game skid ended up being halted after Toronto knocked off New Orleans. However, these seems to be a much improved Pelicans teams after witnessing the incredible dominate display by all-star PF Anthony Davis who dropped 41 points and 20 rebounds on the Celtics. Over his last 6 games, Davis is avergaing 32.3 points and 14.3 boards, Tonight the Raps could be without their big man in the middle as Jonas sprianed his lower back in teh contest against the Hawks. He is a game time decision.

Ugh, I have a bad feeling about this one. I'm guessing Valancuinas is out with injury? Our front court looks very vulnerable and our back court hasn't exactly been shooting us INTO games lately...

Well, hopefully we get Val back. But doesn't look good in that front. Davis will be a handful. He may get another 20-20 today. But we need raptors to get back to their defensive ways. I think raptors will come out with a win tonight. They have been a fighting bunch.

It would be great if Davis had to go out to the perimeter to cover Novak defensively.

    This.

"But Novak will bring Davis out of the paint and open it up for our guards..."
