    Sick of it!

Boston and the Media. They can suck it! Teams are losing pictures this spring training left and right with little attention to what they are doing but the minute we lose J.I. there all over it trying to get Boston that first round pick. How about some serious reporting on how much the Red Sox new about J.I. situation in the first place. Can't help feeling some how they got one over on us. Boras, Drew and the Media can go blow each other. I for one have found a new interest in hating and this is it. Sick of the EAST COAST bias in sports. B strong my *** they even stole that saying from a foundation. You guys can delete this thread or have fun with it. I'm just sick of it!

This Iggy affliction, leading to DL-time, happened as a Tiger. He played well and showed no noticeable pain while playing here last fall. Tiny microfractures are shin splints. Then it got worse and now being reported as stress fractures.

When / where/ how it got worse since the season ended, is another topic. Had it shown it's ugly head at the time of the trade, Tigers doctors would have given Iggy a more through physical, leading to specialists medical findings back then.

Actually Ferrell is on record saying they were a where of J.I.'S issues last season. So they either hid it from us or we didn't raise the question. I for one would like to know the answer to that.

Stop it already! Iggy did not have these stress fractures as a Red Sox. Shin splints are Microfractures that can lead to a bigger issue like stress fractures. Iggy did not play last fall for Detroit with multiple stress fractures.

This issue appeared to have developed in the off-season or at the onset of spring training.

You are right he only had shin splints last season. Did we know that? Ferrel did. Did we look deeper into it? Did we check him out after the playoffs? he seemed hobbled then.

Yes - shin splints. What happened is-it worsened post-trade. What wasn't appreciated was the fact that Iggy hid the amount of discomfort from the Tigers, wanting instead to be part of the postseason on the field.

So really, blame Iggy for the Tigers doctors not taking a closer look during the physical exam. Odds are, it would have only showed shin splints. then worsened over the winter, early spring training.

    I feel ya!
Stopped going to the ballpark when the paerking meters hours changed downtown. Used to be free parking after 6:00 PM. I used to arrive near Greektown just after 5:00 and put in enough quarters to meet 6:00.

It was the same year the Tigers went to premium seat pricing, meaning for the same seat, I pay more for Friday's game than Thursday's game. Now it's even worse. The same seat now could have three prices.

So I quit going, unless I get complimentary tickets - which usually is 3-4 games per season, all weekend or night games. I haul two bottles of my Kroger water - a bag of peanuts and watch the game, never touching my wallet while there. We eat b/4 the game in Greektown.

Yea I usually take a cooler and food and eat before the games. I always liked walking across the highway to get to the old ball park somebody was always there selling a cheap bag of roasted peanuts. those were the days.

He did always have a grimace on his face every time the camera showed him. I thought that was just his normal look though?

He was hurt before he came to detroit, he was hurt after he came to detroit...we were desperate and needed or thought we needed a SS so we traded for him. Does it look like a bad trade in hindsight? As of now, yes...but **** happens.
