    Colts sign Hakeem Nicks

Colts agreed to terms with Hakeem Nicks, formerly of the Giants, on a one-year deal.
GM Ryan Grigson has reputation for being a closer, so it was always unlikely Nicks left Indianapolis without a deal. Still only 26-years-old, Nicks would theoretically provide playmaking ability on the outside, allowing T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne to move around the formation. If his heart is in it, the Colts will provide Nicks the offense and opportunity to reemerge as a fantasy relevant wide receiver.

    Good signing, imo.

    Interested in the dollars.

Good WR group for Luck now. So no excuses for 2014, really.

Hakeem Nicks' deal, in fact, is ax expected - $3.5M for 1 year. Chance to earn another $2M is he maxes out incentives

Reported only 3.5 mill. That's a freaking bargain. Pats and Broncos couldn't muster up that?

    He's played 70 of 80 games.

Not sure he can "never" stay on the field.

For 3.5 million, that's excellent value. Give him a chance to bounce back in a big way, in what should be a much better offense than he was in.

I love this for two reasons.

    1) He stayed away from Carolina.
    2) Hopefully he is fluent with the Colts offense. I want the Colts to challenge the Broncos and Pats and get to that upper echelon to make the AFC more interesting.

Also, hell of a deal for the Colts. Talk about low risk, high reward.

Missing all offseason work, camp, and practice every week is never staying on the field when you're an NFL WR and timing and reps with your QB are essential. Game numbers aren't everything. He doesn't take care of his body and doesn't put in the work it takes to be great in the NFL. He did, but he hasn't recently.

I'm gonna take a good guess that he learned from last year and will get back to doing the little things that made him the player he was in the first place, hence his willingness to take the prove it deal for a second year in a row after failing this year.

i wouldn't say that, big questions about richardson an their run game, plus defense has plenty of holes

    Love it.
Could def. see him being a big letdown, but the upside is awesome.
Now all we need is a competent center and guard opposite donald thomas
