Gamethread: New York Knicks(26-40) vs Milwaukee Bucks(13-51) - Whose World is This?

    Knick Updates

Carmelo Anthony said the Knicks' hiring of Phil Jackson won't affect his decision in free agency. There were initial reports that Jackson's hiring might dissuade Anthony from returning to the Knicks, but Melo tried to squash those rumors on Wednesday. "I don't think it has any effect on me as far as what I'm thinking or my decision or anything like that," Anthony said. "I haven't talked to Phil yet to get his insight on a lot of things, like what's his plan, or what his future plans are. And everything is in his hands now." This sounds like a drama waiting to unfold over the summer, but fantasy owners don't need to worry about that right now and should just sit back and enjoy owning one of the top offensive players in fantasy basketball.

I thought Bucks had it, but a loss is a win for them on draft night.

Is the starting lineup correct? The last Knick game I saw was at Chicago....if so when did Woodson make the change?

I can see the Hawks losing the next three, they are on top of each other and only Denver is iffy because they have stunk up the court and play in Atlanta. Hopefully old buddy Chandler will go off.

Knicks have Bucks yes but then Indy, that's the game to watch folks because that can either hinder us or hurdle us.

3.5 games back... Not bad all we gotta do is keep winning. The Hawks will win some and lose some.

That starting 5 has been the catalyst for the 5 game win streak.

No one game is that important, but every game is important.

Indiana loss doesn't hurt us as long as we keep playing good basketball.

    Knicks have 16 games left.

    Hawks have 19 games left.

Just by virtue of their injuries we can assume that Hawks will lose 3 more games than we will.

That means we need to make up 3 games in the loss column to ensure we finish ahead of them.

So let's say that Atlanta goes a generous 8-11 over their final 19 games. The finish at 36-46.

The Knicks need to go 11-5 over their last 16 games to finish 37-45.

We can afford to lose the Indiana game and 4 other random games and still by 90%+ chance of making the playoffs.

Now considering that Atlanta has only won 4 games in last 18, it wouldn't be a surprise for them to finish 6-13. That would be a best case scenario for us and we could get into the playoffs even going 9-7.

If we beat Milwaukee, and then beat Indiana, it gives the team a huge confidence boost and we have a chance to take over the #8 spot by April. But that's a big IF.

Also, in case of a tie, we need to have a better conference record than Atlanta.
