    Assuming Here

With the assumption that Pringles is gone at the end of the season. Who do you thin realistically the Lakers could bring in to coach

I really like Steve Kerr. He would be a great guy to start building a coaching staff around.

Yes I would want Phil but I don't think Phil wants to coach anymore. He wants to be in the FO now.

    Thoughts?

Anyone but Phil, I'm tired of hearing his name. Lakers don't need Phil to win and he acts like a prima donna

I see where you are coming from. I would love Phil I mean come on he's the Zen master. But I'm at the point where I feel like we need to move on and realize there are great coaches out there that can help us win too.

I think B. Scott will probably be the choice.. Don't know if it's the right one but that's who I think will be the next Laker coach..

Scott didn't convince me at all when he was a coach, he would not be a very high upgrade, since thibs (my top choice) and vogel aren't free, like shep said I would like stan or jeff VG, please a coach who preaches defense, and real defense, not like potatoe head.

Lionel Hollins still being unemployed is surprising.

He was a major part of the group/s responsible for bringing in five rings to this organization. Sorry but saying that the Lakers doesnt need him to win is a bit out of line. And he can act like a prima donna. It's part of his resume. He has a backbone of a great leader. (at least figuratively)

TO answer the question though, Id like Brain Shaw to be the head coach.

ah no. Don't wanna hear his hoarse voice in the sidelines and during timeout. ugh!

He was successful in Boston because of Thibs and KG not on his own talent as a coach.

DING, DING, DING, DING !!!!!!!!!! We have a winner!!!!

We need a guy with fire in his belly and a full tank of gas. This is a different game than it was in 2005, so why in the world would we want a coach who lives there? The next era of Lakers basketball will not be coached by any of these guys mentioned in this thread so far. The next young lion is currently not on the radar of the casual fan. Lets hope he is on the front office's....or at least on a short list.
