    2014 Yankees Projection Stats

    I did this a couple years ago and it was cool to compare my projections with the actual results. (I did not go well haha) Hopefully I do better this year

    I would love if that were to happen.. but history and reality say that at least 1 pitcher will go down with an injury of more than an month (could be more) and 2 or 3 of the position players will as well... You just can't live with 5 starters for a full season, and 9 non-pitchers... one team came close with the starters only a few year ago... but they were more the anomoly than the rule.

    Read on Pinstripe Alley that if the 2013 roster was playing in 2006 the team would be 107-55 with their WARs....

    To be clear, what the article suggests is that if the players on the 2013 team had been playing together in 2006, they would have won 107 games (based on WAR). It's a little misleading because they are counting 11 position players that were full time players in 2006 and they wouldn't have all been full time players on the same team, given that there are only 9 positions.
