Well the Oline is getting improved. I hope this contract is frontloaded as well. I want long term cap.

RT Howard is a big-time run blocker. Gives #Raiders flexibility and they can put Watson at LT if ready and Saffold at LG

He's underrated. 32 straight starts 2 penalties, 2 sacks allowed. Looks like we bought OL today. Hopefully get Neal and Melton tommrow. DRC and Jenkins for the secondary. And schaub when released.

Allows us to truly go bpa in the draft.

Very solid signing. Alleviates the losses we've endured today. We still need to sign a guard.

However, what does Oakland do with Menelik Watson? I guess Watson goes to LT, Saffold at RG/LG and Howard stays at RT?

That's way too much money. Reggie is making moves that make you wonder if he really is GM material.

Started 32 straight games. only 2 penalties and only 2 sacks given up. Great signing. Fair price.

Man I would love the guts to throw Watson at the wolves by starting him at LT. Let's see if he's got it

    Watson-Saffold-Wiz-Barnes-Howard

Really think we bring in schaub now and focus on running it down the throats.

    Watson-Saffold-Wiz-?-Howard

Brisel, Barnes as solid back ups

Looks good. Could actually improve the line without Veldheer resigning if it lives up to its potential (high on Watson, tons of potential for Howard)

Patience is quite a virtue. Reggie McKenzie is faaaar from down. IMO, he should rekindle is old Packer roots and give BJ Raji and James Jones a call.

This is a huge contract, but in reality if its 14 mil this year, it only translates to 4y/16m. These types of contracts will allow us be players in next years free agent market. No way Reggie gets value on his 65 million this offseason without front loading contracts.

edit: meant to say WITHOUT frontloading.

    As a Jets fan...

He was better in 2012 than he was last year. He's known as a good run blocker and an adequate pass protector though his run blocking seemed to take a step back year 2 but the entire Jets OL struggled last year. Hard working and a good locker room guy.
