I'm all for Hester. I loved him in college (heck I have his authentic college jersey)however hes got to be signed for the right price. Hes really a kick returner only. Hes never really panned out as a WR, and its a little too late to switch him to what hes best at which is playing in the secondary. How much are we whiling to spend for a return specialist? That is the question.

Don't we already have a capable KR in Demps who has said he 100% dedicated to football now?

I'm no completely oppose, I just think we would be better off going after a D. Mccluster. Younger and can contribute more as a receiver. 2 birds one stone. Hester as a receiver Is not an upgrade imo

Hester is old IMO, no thank you

McCluster is one of those guys everybody talks about like he's got potential but he's done very little to back it up, guys like him are a dime a dozen and could easily be had in the draft with a mid round pick.

Jeff Demps can go up a creek somewhere for all I care, was he committed, was he not, is he now, is he not? Hes a mistake the last regime made, I foresee him being a camp body and released in favor of more versatile players.

Demps has plenty of potential. The guy can absolutely fly. He needs more game time IMO.

Getting Hester wouldn't be a huge deal, but I certainly wouldn't mind it. At the right price of course.

I think Hester is do for a call now that McCluster is gone. They may be waiting a bit for his price to drop.

#Bucs Smith/Licht turning over roster. Wed could bring signings of McCown, Collins, Tillman, Hester, Dietrich-Smith and Melton.
    Hester tomorrow? Hmm

Would we really sign Melton after we signed McDonald?? They must not have been high on Spence or just want an awesome rotation. Dietrich-Smith and Collins are musts

If we get all of those guys, that would be some serious, balls-to-wall, Jon Gruden-like roster turnover. We'd be talking, what, 7-8 new starters?! Just bonkers!

Again, I'm really hoping for the Oline homerun Alex Mack signing, but even if we closed up shop right now we still have an impressive FA haul.

Hester has no timetable for reaching an agreement with an NFL team, though he hopes to be signed by the time training camp starts this summer.

Though he’s had his greatest success as a kick returner, he said he’d like some playing time at wide receiver.

During his career, Hester has caught 217 passes for 2,807 yards and 14 touchdowns.

“I’m going to let my agent and the upstairs guys on offense work out the details,” he said. “What’s fair is fair.”
Some playing time at WR? I'm sure Jeff Tedford can figure something out SPEED IN SPACE.

I'd say let Demps have a shot. He's capable. No to Hester and no to McCluster. Both have had chances. Demps turn now...

Also, my wife went to HS with EDS, and he really is a high character dude. His family is genuinely excited about joining our team. His kids were talking about "being pirates now". Great news for our team...
