If he is available, I have a gut feeling that the Jets are looking at Jace Amaro in the 2nd.

If he's there I see no reason why they wouldn't be interested. That also would mean they need to sign a vet who can play in-line. Amaro has little to no experience there.

    That's why I love Feidorwicz.
He could maybe stick around till the third.

Welcome back dinner for Leo. We are waiting patiently. Hurry the F up! These babies don't taste as good cold.

Agreed. I think regardless they need a vet #2 TE and either Cumberland or Pettigrew would be my two top choices. Obviously each is a flawed player which is why they aren't #1 TE material but they are both serviceable in both the passing game and run game.

I'd like to see the Jets incorporate more 2 TE sets, particularly in the passing game next season. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but the vast majority of the time we line up with 2 TEs it's a run play, and obviously such a heavy tendency it makes it very easy on the defense. Secondly, having two big targets capable of making plays in the middle of the field is a huge luxury for a QB, especially a young one.

I do wonder though if we don't take a TE at 18 if we end up missing out on all of the top 3 TEs in the draft. Baltimore re-signed Pitta but will likely lose Dickson in FA and are in a similar position to us as they need to add weapons for Flacco and pick directly in front of us. The Packers have both Finley and Quarless as FA and Finley's injury makes it very questionable as to what he can reasonably do going forward so they'll likely be in the market for a TE. New England could obviously use a TE. Seattle could as well. That's not even counting teams more towards the top of the Draft order like the Giants who could take Ebron at #12. Anyway, my point is while it would be awesome to snag Amaro in the second (presumably we'd take a receiver like Lee in the first) it's quite possible Amaro doesn't make it out of the first and that ASJ doesn't last until #49. I hope I'm wrong though.

I think Niklas can be the most complete TE in the draft. So of he's available in the 2nd or 3rd, I'll take him.

With "speculation" about Desean Jackson being on the outs in Philly, would you offer them a 3rd to bring in the experienced and explosive WR, but one that is money hungry (Revis-like money hungry)?

Remember DJackson makes a boat load of money, and he wants more.

How about a 2nd for DJackson?

I have to check but I believe he's scheduled to make about $8M this year.

Jace Amaro is the closest to a Timmy Graham in the draft.
If he falls in the 2nd I am taking him.

Possibly. I don't like him in the first round. He's small and quick though. Good tackler that helps on run D. Though he does whiff on some tackles in space.
