Washington Capitals (29-24-10) at Boston Bruins (39-17-5)
After suffering a 4-2 loss to the Capitals on Saturday, the Bruins have won two consecutive games and are set to take on the Capitals once again. With the trade deadline gone and passed, the Bruins bolstered up their defense a bit by acquiring Andrej Meszaros from the Philadelphia Flyers for a conditional 3rd round pick. While the offense has remained hot coming off the Olympic break (16 goals in 4 games) the defense has remained shaky (13 goals in 4 games), although they only did allow one goal to the Panthers on Tuesday. The penalty killing has also remained an issue and that was one factor in the 4-2 loss to the Caps on Saturday. Tuukka Rask is expected to get the start tonight after Johnson got the start Tuesday.
Also, a Bruins win tonight coupled by a Sabres regulation loss eliminates the Sabres from the divisional race. What is the significance of this...well it just means the Bruins are that much closer to a playoff spot!
no kidding? i would think that way about potter but i was hoping meszaros was gonna have some impact here or at least the opportunity to have some impact.
the Bs are getting some chances here, need to put one in
I'm not sure where that person saw, read or heard that but I don't really agree with that.
I think CJ just wants to see him in practice for a few days and determine where and how he will fit in. You know how CJ is. But it isn't like he's a rookie or anything, this is someone who has been in the league a long time despite being only 28,.
